Reducing private car use after the COVID-19 quarantine

The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá (the 7-million people capital of Colombia) is looking for solutions to reduce the use of private cars in the city after the quarantine measures taken to respond to the COVID-19 crisis are lifted.

The perception of citizens around contagion and other risks when using public transport and other “active” transport modes (bicycle, even walking) might significantly increase the use of private cars in the city, deteriorating the already complicated mobility and air quality situation.

What can we do to (safely) promote the use of public transport and other active transport modes once quarantine restrictions are lifted?
